Braglands Barn Garden

The pictures below are a selection of what is on offer in January - a mixture of winter stems and evergreens with a hint of what is to come in the spring.

Daphne bholua 'Jacqeline Postill' just thinking about opening. The perfume will be tremendous when it does.

Cyclamen bravely pushing through the bark mulch

Viburnum x bodnantense creates beautiful fragrance for those walking by on the milder days

Salix alba 'Britzensis' needs to be pollarded (or coppiced) regularly to produce colour like this

Like many shrubs that flower at this time, Sarcococca confusa is as much about scent as colour.  We have several near the end door to cheer up those going by.

A robin adds extra interest to Cornus alba 'Sibirica'

The flowers of Hamamelis mollis 'Pallida' are undamaged by the sharpest of frosts
