Braglands Barn Garden

Opening Times

June 2008

We will be open on 14 & 15 June from 10:30 to 18:30 as part of 'Stogumber Gardens Open' when we will be one of about 15 gardens.  As we are just outside the village, we have our own car park and are always happy to see visitors at the end of the day, after they have been around the gardens in the village.

Nowadays, it quite common for villages to open their gardens for charity but Stogumber was one of the first such villages and this will be the 27th year of the event.  There are more details on the Stogumber village website

We have a large collection of irises, suitable for both wet and dry areas, which are at their best in June, particularly the ensatas around the pond.

August 2008

The garden will be open  for the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) on Monday 25 August (Bank Holiday) between 11:00 and 17:30. There will be a plant stall and light refreshments will be available all day.

The bog garden and the late summer perennials are a particular feature of the August opening.

Eupatorium maculatum 'Atropurpureum' grows particularly well in the wetter parts of the garden and should be flowering well at the August opening
